“My husband’s family is from Corsicana and we’ve been interested in getting back to our Corsicana roots,” said Hodge. “The Corsicana community has always impressed me. After visiting with Navarro Elementary and going through the interview process, I’m even more impressed with the level of commitment to education of students.”
Hodge has spent the last four years at Blue Ridge Elementary. The first two years she spent as Assistant Principal and the last two as Principal. Prior to Blue Ridge, Hodge served as an Administrative Intern at Melissa ISD where she also taught third grade. Hodge also has experience teaching third grade in Frisco and Richardson.
A graduate of Sam Houston State University in 2003, Hodge received her teaching certification and earned her Master’s in Educational Administration from Texas A&M University-Commerce in 2009, followed by her Principal’s Certification.
“Mrs. Hodge impressed me with her extensive and in-depth curriculum knowledge. She is an instructional leader who will provide insight and support for our teachers and students. I have no doubt she will be successful as the new Principal at Navarro Elementary,” said Dr. Diane Frost, superintendent of Corsicana ISD.
Hodge is married to Jeff Hodge who is a ’96 Corsicana High School alumnus, and the family has been interested in moving to Corsicana. The couple just celebrated their 10 year anniversary with their four year old son, Carter. When not at work, Hodge enjoys spending time with friends and family, traveling, shopping and trying new restaurants. “I am looking forward to meeting the community. Go Tigers!”
